Chapter 10 — Records
Awards & Recognition
The complete documented record: every major rating and ranking the restaurant has earned since 2009.
AwardsCompiled from public sources·Updated June 2025
Few restaurants anywhere hold simultaneous top positions across the major rating systems. Restaurant Frantzén’s documented record spans the Michelin Guide, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, La Liste, OAD and the Nordic guides — a breadth of recognition that is itself the story.
The record, year by year

2013
Two stars retained through the renaming to Frantzén.
2017

2020
No. 1 in Europe, OAD Top 100 (Opinionated About Dining).
2021
No. 6, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants — the highest Swedish placement ever recorded.
2023
No. 1 on La Liste, the aggregate global ranking synthesizing thousands of sources.
2024
100/100 from Falstaff, the Nordic restaurant guide’s perfect score.
2025
The group’s Dubai venue earns three stars, completing the unprecedented triple across Stockholm, Singapore and Dubai.
2026
Three stars retained in the Michelin Guide Sweden 2026 selection.
Reading the ratings honestly
No ranking system is an oracle, and each measures something different: Michelin inspects consistency and technique; the 50 Best polls industry sentiment; La Liste aggregates everything; Falstaff and the White Guide read the Nordic scene from inside. That the same restaurant sits at or near the top of all of them simultaneously is the meaningful signal — the systems disagree about much, but not about this kitchen.
